Rod Reynolds explores why it is that so many people do not understand the Bible. Also vital keys in unlocking God’s Word so you can understand it better. The Bible is the most widely circulated book in the world. Well over 2 billion copies of the Bible have been printed and distributed worldwide. Almost every household in much of the western world has at least one Bible, and yet it is a book that is little understood.
The Bible is full of symbolic language, and references to physical symbols as well, which have deep spiritual significance, little understood by most people, even many who read the Bible and profess to be Christians.
Explored in this message presented by Rod Reynolds is the symbolism associated with the “lampstand,” in the Tabernacle and later in the Temple of God in Jerusalem, and also “lampstands” referenced in the book of Revelation and elsewhere in Scripture. These have significance for every person who is part of God’s Church, and for the world at large, that I hope will interest you, and that you will gain understanding of if you have not understood before, or reminded of if you did.

There are many Churches that claim to be Christian. The claim to be a Christian Church implies that its teachings are consistent with the teachings of Jesus Christ, and that Christ’s example is followed by the Church making the claim.
It ought to be obvious to anyone who seriously considers the matter that not all Churches that claim to be Christian really are following teachings consistent with the teachings of Jesus Christ found in the Bible. Some have wondered, “How can I be a part of the true Church of God?” I want to answer that question in this article.
Jesus said he hates the “the deeds of the Nicolaitans” (Revelation 2:6). He also said to the church in Pergamos, “you also have those who hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which thing I hate” (Revelation 2:15).
Who are the Nicolaitans? What are their deeds that Jesus Christ hates? What is their doctrine, that Jesus Christ also hates? How might these questions affect us? The answers to these questions should be of vital interest to us, as we are specifically warned about them, and they are spiritual cancers which not only exist outside the Church, but which according to Jesus Christ at times insidiously infects the Church of God itself.

Jesus said to Peter: “And I also say to you that you are Peter [petros], and on this rock [petra] I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it” (Matthew 16:18).
This verse does not imply what some have assumed, that human authority, beginning with Peter, is at the foundation of the Church.
