Ingathering of the Nations

For 6000 years the world has known trouble, violence, conflict among nations. God has not left the world without witness, far from it, but the world has rejected the Eternal Creator who is the author of life and giver of every good gift, and followed the way of Satan, the way of rebellion and all manner of evil. Will things ever change in a truly fundamental and permanent way? The good news is, Yes!

The Feast of Tabernacles pictures in a prophetic manner, among other things, the spiritual salvation and restoration of all nations. In this message are details from Scripture about the astounding future awaiting the nations after Jesus Christ returns to establish the kingdom of God on this earth.

Prophetic Significance of the Fall Festivals of God

Billions of people down through history have lived, going about their mundane activities blind to and ignorant of the real purpose of their existence. And then they died. Human philosophical and religious ideas have failed utterly to fill the void, and so if they think about it at all, people are left simply to wonder, what is the purpose of human existence.

The festivals that God’s Word commands to be kept all have deep spiritual significance. And their significance from the standpoint of time is not only historical, but also contemporary and prophetic. In understanding the meaning of God’s festivals lies the key to understanding what few people have been privileged to know, and that is, not only why we exist, but how the purpose of our existence is being and will be fulfilled.

When we put the outline of prophetic events depicted by the commanded festivals of God, together with detailed prophecies of the Bible we get a very clear picture of the flow of God’s plan and how he is going to bring it to fruition in a step by step process.

The message presented here by Rod Reynolds focuses on the prophetic significance the fall festivals God commands to be kept.

2025 Festival Observance Planned

The Messenger Church of God keeps the festivals God commands his people to keep. The commanded festivals and annual Sabbaths are listed in Leviticus 23. They include, in addition to the weekly Sabbath, the Passover, the Feast of Unleavened Bread, the Feast of Pentecost, the Feast of Trumpets, the Feast of Atonement, the Feast of Tabernacles, and the Last Great Day, associated with the Feast of Tabernacles, but technically a separate feast. The 2025 festival observance planned by the Church for the commanded annual festivals is summarized below.

The Hope of the Resurrection

This final of the seven annual festivals commanded by God to be kept by his people, an annual Sabbath, an eighth day, associated with but following the Feast of Tabernacles, is called the last day, the “great [Greek, megas, great or high] day of the Feast” (Leviticus 23:39; John 7:31). This feast looks forward to a time following the Millennial period, when there will be a general resurrection. In order to understand how God’s plan of salvation for mankind will be fully accomplished, this period cannot be overlooked.

Why Booths?

Why did God command the Israelites to dwell in booths? What spiritual lessons can we learn from their example?

Actually, there are deep lessons we can learn from this example about the transitoriness of our physical lives, and how that should influence how we view life in the flesh and our relationship to God, and the prospect of being granted the gift of eternal life in his kingdom.
