Certainly the world, with its chaos, confusion, strife and conflict, is not at peace. In this message are revealed ten steps in the way of peace that you can apply in your life.

Whose World is It?
Many people assume that this is God’s world, that God is fully in control, and that all that happens in the world is in accordance with God’s will. But the reality of the situation is not quite that straightforward or simple.
If this is God’s world why is there so much violence, so much poverty, so much sickness, so much evil of every kind and description? If this is God’s world why aren’t the problems that have plagued it for thousands of years solved?
Whose world is it that we’re living in? Is it really God’s world?

What Kind of King Would You Be?
The Fall Festival season pictures the Kingdom of God being established on earth. That means a new government will be established to rule all the nations of the earth! (Revelation 11:15; Daniel 7:14).
Why is a new government necessary? Because government in the hands of man has failed miserably. The record of history is one of war, oppression, poverty, disease, all too often famine, and every other evil imaginable, often caused by government, or at other times not prevented by man’s governments. Historically, government has often been man’s greatest enemy. Yet, effective and genuinely beneficent government is essential to the well being of man. A new and much better government is needed to replace current governments with their failures, inadequacies and evils.
A big part of the responsibility of government is to regulate relations between people. God’s government, through his law, regulates our relationships with God and with one another. In God’s Kingdom, a big part of the job of those who administer the government will be to teach individuals and nations how to relate to one another and to God so as to produce peace and joy, happy and abundant lives on a universal scale. Scripture tells us that the resurrected saints will be given authority under Jesus Christ in his millennial Kingdom to help him rule over the nations of the earth (Daniel 7:27; Revelation 2:26-27; 5:9-10).

Will Politicians Save Us?
A nation’s character, as the Bible makes clear, has a lot to do with its prosperity, happiness, and ultimate destiny. And this applies not only to nations, but the world as a whole. What can we do as a people to avoid catastrophe? What difference can the right kind of leadership make? And what does the Bible tell us about the ultimate solutions to the problems we face?

Messiah and the Throne of David — Part 3
A number of prophecies foretold that the Messiah would become heir to the throne of David (2 Samuel 7:11-13; Psalms 132:11; Isaiah 9:6-7; Jeremiah 23:6-7; et al). The Bible identifies, and confirms by its testimony, that Jesus Christ is the promised Messiah. and that he, Jesus Christ, the Messiah, would be heir to the throne of David (Luke 1:31-33; Acts 2:30).
The link between David, king of Israel, and Jesus Christ the Messiah is a significant theme in Scripture, and understanding the historical and prophetic link between the two ought to be of interest to any student of the Bible.
David, though human, and one who committed sins and mistakes at times, nevertheless was on the whole faithful to God. David was a great king, under whose rule Israel prospered, and the kingdom of Israel became a great Empire, far more significant than many realize.
